How accurate is laser cutting?
As per statistics, the tolerance of laser cutting can be controlled within 0.5mm
The reason is, the laser cutter is a CNC (computer numerical controlled) machine. The software on the computer analyzes the design file and calculates the movement instructions and then sends the movement instructions to the machine through the processor. So the machine is able to automatically perform the precise cutting work.
And also, compared to other cutting tools, the laser beam comes through the reflecting lens and the focusing lens will be very fine, usually, only a few tenths of a millimeter. I think it is also a major reason for the laser to provide such high cutting precision.
